SUMMER SURPRISE
SUMMER SURPRISE. “Corpus Christi School`s Leadership Group” collected bottles all school year
Jesse is applying to go on a Mexico Mission trip and this was one of the questions he had to answer…. (after he had worked on organizing the donations for 4 hrs and was exhausted….)
10. Something I’ve learned about God in the last month is?
How whenever a believer truly thinks they are in trouble that God will come through for us in the end. The last month with Hope in a Bag preoccupying my life I have been surrounded by two powerful things.
The first thing is the great need in this world, and how even in the midst of the need, the love of God is found. Walking into the center one day, I remember seeing a man outside frozen and cold. I wondered why he was not coming in for some warmth and soon found out. I walked past him and he looked at me and asked. Do you know that Jesus Christ the Son of God loves you and died for you on the cross?. After hearing that I realized that he was freezing his skin so that maybe he could warm someone’s soul.
The second thing is that God inspires people to be generous and to care for others with all their heart. We were working hard for project Hope in a Bag, the whole time worried that we would not have enough items to give each person a generous gift this year when suddenly a Christian couple from Saint Albert flooded our entrance way with donations. That same week we collected that much again from at least 5 other couples, enough items to eliminate all doubt that we would not have enough. Then on top of all that… as we are organizing and talking about God… a wonderful generous couple come with donations to our house and the man gave a prophetic word over my life. There was no doubt it came from God.
From All this we learned that God is Always there and is always ready to help those in need, who come searching for His help.
